Description
Nafion binder is a proton-conducting polymer used to bind catalyst particles onto electrode surfaces while providing ionic conductivity within the catalyst layer. It helps create a uniform and stable coating, improving electron–ion transport and overall electrochemical performance.
Based on perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) chemistry, Nafion binder offers excellent chemical stability, strong adhesion, and compatibility with acidic environments, making it widely used in fuel cells, water electrolysis, and electrocatalysis research.
